Carnival Imagination Dec 4th Ensenada/Catalina

Hey there, fellow cruisers!

 

It's been forever since I've cruised, and I'm beyond excited! I've done this cruise in the past, but on the Paradise. If anyone knows how the two ships compare, I'd love some info...

Deck plan is almost the same. Decor is different. Basically a difference in the Promenade. The formalities/candy store isn't hidden in the casino, but front and center near the Taste Bar. The buffet chairs are closer together on the Imagination. The buffet has a slightly different layout.

 

The 220 is not a Euro outlet but has two horizontal puns in a line and one round pin lower down.

The bathroom vanity is horrible. They took out the medicine cabinet and the square countertop. Replaced that with a thin shelf and a round sink.

 

You might see some of the same crew. We've known several since meeting them on the Paradise.

 

 

No slide into the pool, 11aft now has the slide, replacing the aft pool.

 

ETA. The bad thing is the smoking at the Casino Bar. On the Paradise the smoking section was towards the casino. On the Imagination it's on the other side, next to the elevator lobby. Smoke travels down the elevator shaft and it lingers near the lower lobbies, Riviera Deck seemed to get the worst of it.

Imagination should be getting the 2.0 upgrades when it is in drydock in September, so there will be a lot of new food and bar options.
