Whale watching - Saint John or Halifax?

 Share

Recommended Posts

We will be on a 9 day early September on Anthem and I am set on a whale watching excursion. Obviously no sightings are guaranteed but I'd certainly like the best shot. Any suggestions of where to book? I was leaning towards booking through RCI for one in Halifax, but I was reading sightings were rare in that area.

Thanks for any insight!

For Saint John, you'd likely want to go out of St. Andrews, which is approximately two hours round trip.

Click on "See more whales & wildlife experiences" to see all the options. You wouldn't want any of the options from Deer Island, Grand Manan or Campobello Island, as ferries are involved and if it breaks down, chances are you'll be stuck overnight.
