How was the smoke in the casino? Smoke in the casino if you were actually sitting there trying to play was pretty bad. Especially because the casino was PACKED for our sailing. If you are just passing through, it's not really a big issue. I would say, passing through, it actually smells worse somehow when the casino is closed? Maybe they turn the air handlers off then or something?
caryking Posted October 29, 2018 #27 Share Posted October 29, 2018 The issue I have: the smoke smell moved to the floors above and below into the second atrium. For non smokers (or those that smoke and don’t like the smell) would like to not smell it anywhere on the boat, except d signaled areas. At times, I couldn’t enjoy sitting on my balcony because of smoke.

I didn't think there was any outdoor smoking on the Escape except for the upper-most decks, so it seems weird that you would be smelling it out on your balcony unless someone in a balcony near you was smoking on their own balcony, which is prohibited. caryking Posted October 30, 2018 #29 Share Posted October 30, 2018 We were on the 14th Aft. It was always someone forward and below smoking. Each time, I would look over and see the smoke; however, I couldn’t 100% spot the exact cabin. If I could, I would have let someone know. I dont want to let this make it sound as if we didn’t enjoy the cruise, because we did. We will definitely cruise on Norwegian again; maybe, the Bliss. Coastalbreezes Posted October 31, 2018 #32 Share Posted October 31, 2018 Raysail, On Escape there is a smoking area on deck 17 (upper pool bar area) with high-top tables and also at the railing overlooking the pool. I didn't mean to say "enclosed area" by pool -- that is on Getaway. Hope this clarifies. Tracy

Based on your response, I do believe I found a pic of that zone, through the ShipMate phone app. It matches what you wrote exactly to a T. I'll show my friend cuz he's the smoker. Every cruise I have been on there have been people smoking cigs, or pot on a balcony near me. My last cruise my neighbors were pot heads. I know it isn't allowed, but they do it anyway. I am a once in a while smoker, who used to be an every day smoker and I always hated the smoke in the casino. I hope they make them all smoke free. I always feel sorry for the dealers. I have seen it blow in their face and they are not allowed to say anything. Terrible. I have always been a respectful smoker, going to hide in a corner somewhere. I would never want to offend and other.
