Has anyone stayed at this property recently ? If so can you recommend an offsite eatery within walking distance, looking for authentic yet reasonable meal, also how far to walk for supplies such as sunscreen, bottled water, wine, etc.. ? what were your overall thoughts on the property and surrounding area ?

Sailing next week, still looking for feedback on original questions as well as taxi fare and distance from airport and Pan American Pier ?

Stayed there last year. When you walk out the front and make a right there is a restaurant about a 10 minute walk called Ropa Vieja very good authentic food. To the left a little ways down is a CVS or Walgreens (can't remember which). Taxi fare as I remember was less than $20 from airport to hotel and about $10 to the pier.

There are several good dinning options very close to La Concha with prices ranging from inexpensive to fine-dinning prices. Most of the restaurants are located right on the strip to the left (as you exit the hotel) within 7-10 minutes walking distance. Also on that same strip there's a Walgreen's and a CVS locate one in front of the other...literally (is that nonsense also happening in the US?). Some of the best places for authentic, reasonably priced local fare are Latin American Cafe, Yerba Buena, Cayo Blanco and as mentioned on the previous post, Ropa Vieja. You can also find Sushi, Mexican, Italian and international food along the way. There's almost something for all tastes.
