Spring festival in Jerez

Has anyone been to the spring festival in Jerez?

Our cruise will be in Cadiz on May 3, 2017. That

'should' be during the spring festival in Jerez.

 

I have read that Jerez is a short train journey from

Cadiz.

 

So, if anyone has been, please give me details of how

difficult it is to get around and how do-able it it on your own.

And how much fun it is.

 

It sounds terribly Spanish.

I think your visit falls between the two festivals in 2017. The dates for the 'Feria de Primavera', Spring festival is April 15th to 24th. The 'Feria del Caballo', Horse Festival is from May 6th to 15th.

 

This would still be an excellent choice for a visit for your port day along with central Cadiz.

I was looking for dates for the Horse Festival, but they did not have any

posted for 2017, only 1st week in May is traditional.
