So I sorta ran with this idea ... looking up different suggestions, taking out what wouldn't apply or work with us, and came up with this massive list (I'll pair it down before our cruise... maybe add some stuff, etc). Because my parents will be with us, and my dad can't (and wouldn't) run all over the ship in one afternoon, we are going to make this a week long activity. The last night, we'll all get together, and show our pictures/videos/items, hopefully have some funny stories to tell about how we got them, etc. :)

 

Anyway... here's my list so far:

 

Find and take a picture of each of the following: (feel free to add yourself or all of your group into all the photos... not just the ones you HAVE to be in. Memories is what we are making here. :D Plus, if you are included, you may get extra points!!)

 

ON/AROUND THE SHIP: (take pictures of these items... and get involved in the picture when you can)

- The ship's bell

- Something from Fincanarti (he built the ship you're on)

- The funnel (if you don't know what this is... find someone who should know)

- sheet of paper framed that has the maritime laws about dumping trash, food, etc

- A clock that says 3:00

- ship "coin" (there's a framed coin on your ship. Extra point if you find out WHY it's there)

- the doors to one of the "secret decks"

- the wake.

- the view from the bow, or as close to it as they can get!

- a lifeboat.

- the atrium taken from inside the glass elevators.

- A picture taken in the atrium, pointed straight up!

- inside the library

- decorated door.

- a guitar.

- a life preserver

- a port hole

- a sunrise or sunset

- a towel animal

- something with a fish on it

- ship's steering wheel

- fruit sculpture

- Something you would not expect to find on a cruise ship (like a bus, or a car, or a motorcycle ...).

- A bird on the ship (not flying).

- A pool with no one in it ...

- Any real animal (not a fish...)

- A hallway with no one in it ...

- Lifeboat

- Piece of pizza

- Sun glasses

- Barf bag

- Drink of the day sign

- Bread sculpture

- Picture of the Breeze and another ship

- The cruise line mascot

- A slot machine with the word "Pirate" on it.

- A room service tray in the hall

- pic of highest point on the ship/lowest point on the ship

- Do Not Disturb/Snoozing sign (NOT from your own cabin)

 

 

 

PEOPLE (on and maybe off the ship... you may have to ask them to help and pose for you... feel free to join in the picture!!! Remember, extra points! However, the other people have to be the one's completing the "quest")

- Picture of the men making your Guy's Burger. Make sure they are looking at you and smiling!

- Passengers kissing their companion

- People dancing in a conga line

- People building a human pyramid

- posed in a 'see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil' pattern

- funniest mustache

- someone eating a cookie

- stranger sleeping on pool deck

- 2 people with matching shirts

- stranger balancing something on their head

- Santa Claus lookalike (I love this one!)

- someone wearing a family reunion t-shirt

- Someone who is badly sunburned

- Bald man

- Man in a speedo

- A birthday celebration shirt

- Stranger reading a book or kindle

- Picture of someone touching their nose with their tongue (can’t be someone on your team)

- Picture of someone with a tattoo

- Picture of a guy (who you do not know) with a REALLY hairy chest

- Picture of painted toenails that aren’t red or pink

- anyone in costume

- someone carrying a ship on a stick

- pier runners (these are people running to catch the ship before it leaves them in the port)

- a screamer at guest relations

- "piano man" being sung at the piano bar

- spotting a really bad toupee almost blowing off on deck?

- People with walkie talkies

- Formal night a couple dressed up as much as possible

- Formal night people showing up for dinner in shorts

- robes in public venues

- The guy in the Hawaiian shirt

- The person(s) trying to push their way to the head of the line (buffet, getting of the ship, dinner ...)

- Someone in military uniform

- adult in denim over-alls (CANT BE PAPA)

- identical twins

- limb in a cast

- the bolo tie and cowboy boots with tuxedo

- Someone stumbling from the movement of the ship

- A bride in gown getting married on board

- Woman with a HUGE hairdo

- Sunglass tan (raccoon eyes)

- Some are bald, or some too hairy. A picture of the hairiest back will be so..... Scary. (sneek a picture of a hairy back)

 

BONUS POINTS:

Take a picture of as many different workers as possible.. The hard part: They must all be from a different country!

 

 

PICTURES WITH YOU IN THEM

- Pic with a member of the fun staff and one (or all) of your team members

- Pic with the cruise director and one (or all) of your team members

- A picture of you with at least 3 showgirls

- A picture of one team member eating pizza or some other specific food [maybe an ice cream cone!]

- a team member wearing a chef hat

- Picture of someone on your team boarding the ship

- Picture of your team in front of a sign at every ports (must show the name of the location)

- Picture of you in the water at one of the ports (triple points if you also do a video of y'all doing something fun in the water)

- Picture of you with your cabin steward

- Picture of someone on your team on the Lanai

- Picture of someone on your team standing in front of the Art Studio

- Picture of someone on your team wearing something “goofy”

- Picture of someone on your team doing poolside Zumba (triple points if you add a video)

- Picture of someone on your team playing one of the ship’s games (triple for a video!)

- Picture of your team in the main dining room

- Picture of you on the beach (individually, bonus points if you ALSO get a group shot)

- Picture of you on a ship’s lounge chair

- Picture of you with one of the checker-inners (at the ports of call)

- Picture of you with one of the musicians onboard

- Picture of someone on your team eating at one of the ports of call

- a pic of everyone on their team in the cabin bathroom (should be a tight fit!)

- If you trip and fall and get a Boo-Boo, this is the place that will fix it for you. (Get a picture of yourself at the door to the infirmary)

- Get up on the stage and show us you're a star. You can become an Idol and go oh so far!! (Take a Picure on any of the stages) (video if you are actually DOING something on stage in front of an audience... 5x the points!)

- With all the towel animals they can make, can you make one too even if it looks like a fake? (They had to use the towels in their room to make a towel animal and take a photo of it)

- Go to the Disco an get in the "Groove". Show us a picture Doing all your best moves! (Quadruple points for a video! You can do this with each member in yoru team for even more points)

- Picture of you with a King or Queen

 

Items

(none of the items may be purchased – they can be WON, but not purchased!)

- Used Bingo card

- Plastic fruit holder or umbrella from a drink

- A pen with the Carnival's logo/name on it (bonus if it also says Breeze! Can *NOT NOT NOT* come from your room)

- A short phrase from a crew member who speaks an EXOTIC language (not Spanish, French, or... "regular" foreign langauges).

- Carnival lanyard

- Napkin signed by the piano bar pianist

- Name of the people who are staying in cabin across the elevator from you & where they are from

- Drink Of The Day recipe

- An autograph from a honeymoon couple

- A small rock/shell

- A straw

- A toothpick with fuzzy stuff on one end

- Napkin with a red lipstick kiss – cannot be from someone on your team

- Piece of chocolate

- Deck of cards with the logo on it

- Carnival keychain

- Something you won by participating in an onboard activity

- Origami made from a paper napkin

- some sea glass (found off ship)

- a magnet

- A Flyer with "Spa sale" on it, signed by a worker in the spa (or a brochure from the spa signed will also work)

- Something blue

- Currency from one of your destinations.

- Captain’s Autograph

- Carnival Trophy

- Casino Chip

- Karaoke Slip Signed By Karaoke DJ (triple points if you actually sing and 10x the points if it's videoed!!!!)

- “Free” Diamond

Ready2Cruise2016, WOW! What a list!

 

Thank you all again. I have so many ideas now! I will sit with my boys and make our own weeklong list, and some daily quickies as well. Now to find some prizes and smuggle them onboard without my boys or my husband finding them :)

So many great ideas and memories to be made with this, I look forward to cruising with my kids and doing a scavenger hunt with some of these.

I'd love to see your list when you are done. :) I'm thinking I'm going to pick up a little trinket in each of our ports - something with each port name on it, to give to the winning team. I guess since we'll have 3 to a team, I'll need to pick up 3 little trinkets in each port. :D Perhaps make up some sort of winner's certificate... <shrug> That way they get souvenirs for their prize. Not completely sure yet...
