Water Taxi?

Are these private excursions or ship ones? You might want to contact the tour operators directly to ask.

We rode in a boat along a river in Guatemala, and the tour operator had two kids life vests on the ship. This was extremely fortunate, as the first one was too tight for my son and he would have had an absolutely miserable time if he'd needed to wear it. So if your child is going to be on the boat for a substantial amount of time, it might not be enough just for the tour operator to have a child life jacket - your kid might not be happy unless it actually fits, which might unfortunately mean having to bring one.

We always bring a puddle jumper for the ocean and it also serves as a Coast Guard approved life vest. I wouldn't plan on a tour operator having one the right size, enough for the everyone, or any at all. Then you'll have it for the pool and ocean.
