Boarding question in Athens

On the Celebrity Equinox on September 7, which changed its departure city to Athens from Istanbul. Departure time is 10:30 pm. Has anyone departed from that port and can suggest a good arrival time at the port? We are planning a full day tour of Athens beforehand so what to leave ourselves plenty of time to get to port.

I would definitely check with Celebrity on this. When you're in a foreign port, workers go home after X time. We boarded in Istanbul around 7 PM one time (yes, I realized you're asking about Athens), and when we arrived, the main check in was already closed, and only found the right check in somewhere else, in a smaller room. And it happens again, in another port in Europe, whose name I can't remember now. Got a bit spooked out. Since Athens is so close to Piraues, why not just take the short 30 mins train ride drop your bags, and head out again? We've taken the train many times, and it's a quicked scheduled trains. Maybe even less than 30 mins. Walk from port to train station, about 15 mins slowly I remember.. anyway, just things to think about.
