Disappointed in Anthem Oct. '17 itineraries

We sailed on the Anthem this past April. Out of 20+ RCI cruises, the Anthem was our favorite. We have 2 more Anthem cruises booked, both are 9 night Bermuda and the Caribbean itineraries. One is for Oct. 2016 and the other is for May 2017.

As you can see we like to cruise in the spring and fall. We were really disappointed when we searched the RCI website for an October 2017 Caribbean cruise on the Anthem. The cruises that were available were: 5 night Bermuda, 7 night Bahamas and 9 night Canada & New England.

We've done 7 night Bermuda cruises several times. We've also done 3 Canada & New England cruises (6, 9, and 11 nights). My husband prefers a warm weather cruise. We've sailed to the Bahamas twice and really didn't like Nassau.

We no longer want to fly. I know, some of you do not have this choice. But we do. Cape Liberty is only a 45 minute drive from our house. The piers in Manhattan are only a 30 minute drive. It looks like our choices are to either sail on the Anthem to the Bahamas and stay on board in Nassau or consider NCL out of NYC.

Are we the only ones who are disappointed in the Anthem's October 2017 itineraries?

Yes, Anthem does the October leaf peeper cruises :). Apparently they are popular since they do them every year. Plus they may want to stay up north where there is less chance of a hurricane interfering with port plans.

I would really like to see a 14-15 nighter to Aruba every once in a while.

Someday.

Anthem has only one Canada & New England cruise in Oct. '17. It also has one Bermuda cruise and two Bahamas cruises. I'd like a 9 night Bermuda & Caribbean or 12 night Southern Caribbean cruise.

We're also a short drive to the port and not to thrilled with their 2017 itineraries. There appears to be more sailings to the Bahamas in 2017. In 2017, there are no 10 night sailings which they usually had in the months of January, April and November. None of the sailings in 2017 include St. Thomas and there are no Western itineraries for 2017. Not a fan of flying either but decided to booked a B2B on Harmony next year for something different, which we're excited.

Would love if they offered a sailing to the ABC islands from Bayonne.

Also on the same itinerary as you in October.

Linda - we have to fly everywhere we want to cruise out of US ports as Royal Caribbean has no port stops on Lake Michigan (haha). We are doing the ABCs in December out of Miami. (Flying...) Next week for us its 5 days on the Anthem to Bermuda. If we didn't have to fly everywhere we could make Pinnacle faster....

Cheryl, you know, that I know, we're fortunate to live in driving distance and both the OP and I are from Jersey :) so I understand her feelings. By the way, the Floridians are also fortunate to live in driving distance to the *various* ports. I do feel for those that have to fly and they have more choices of itineraries to choose from.

Have a wonderful time on your cruise and best of luck in the casino, talk to you soon :)

This is why we are sailing our first cruise on Grandeur of the seas. We wanted a 12 night, and we can still drive to the port, just have to leave two hours earlier.

We like voyager and Freedom class ships, also like you we no longer want to fly.Love Cape Liberty,But want no parts of the anthem. So we will drive to Baltimore and try the Grandeur eleven night cruise 1/3/17. :)
