nb125 Posted August 10, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2016 Pretty steep, I think. • 30 minutes ‘pay as you go’ - £13 • 90 minutes ‘pay as you go’ - £34 • 120 minutes ‘pay as you go’ - £41 • 5 days unlimited - £50 • 7 days unlimited - £

Mark_T Posted August 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2016 Depending on where you are going, you may find your mobile phone data roaming charges can be a lot lower than the ship prices. We usually get the 30 min to cover the occasional sea days, but the connection quality is never better than 'adequate' so it is really only for use in short bursts e.g. email... If your roaming charges are high then ask the crew where they go for free wifi in each port, you can bet they all know where the best place is and you'll often see them clustered around the nearest place in the docks or close by :)
Calloo Posted August 13, 2016 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2016 Yes, they've recently gone up in price in the last few months with a new supplier. Used to £30 for PAYG for 24 hours (our world cruise at the start of this year on Black Watch) which seemed quite good, now quite expensive and less attractive ...... comcox Posted August 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 14, 2016 I've just come off the Black Watch where we had the new very high prices but folks who purchased various packages had terrible experience and were asking for refunds. The wifi system often did not work at all and was in-and-out. Many of us on the cruise just found free or reasonably priced wifi places in each port.
