We had U1 which you do not want! They had a little supply closet across from cabin and all we heard was beating and banging when they came to do things during the day. But U15 you should be safe. The porthole does let in light and if you are lucky and it's clean you can see stuff pretty well , if it's dirty you won't be able to see much. I don't have any photos of the porthole but I can tell you we use the space up there where the porthole is for storage! :D

Can any one tell me what port holes are like in cabin, can you see anything and do they allow much light? Any pictures would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

We stayed in M5 on Paradise last month, here are a few pics of our porthole cabin. We had no complaints really, you can really feel the movement of the ship though. The view is pretty limited but it does allow light in. Sorry for the size of the pics...
