CruisinForeverYoung Posted August 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2016 Hello Ladies and Gents, I am going on a Christmas cruise with my family on the Jade out of Tampa and I just realized that on my itinerary it say that due to safety concerns all passengers need to be back on board 2 HOURS prior to departing the port. Now is that just in Tampa or in all ports of call?
Rare www3traveler Posted August 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2016 Just Tampa. In ports of call it is usually 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
triptolemus Posted August 23, 2016 #3 Share Posted August 23, 2016 NCL really needs to clean up this language since this question comes up at least once a week here. The "2 hours before" departure refers to your embarkation port (first day) only. It does NOT apply to ports of call. All aboard time in ports of call is typically 1/2 hour prior to the scheduled departure on your itinerary.
CruisinForeverYoung Posted August 23, 2016 Author #4 Share Posted August 23, 2016 Thank you guys! I'm an avid cruiser (25 cruises in my 23 years of life) and I've always known that we have to be back on board half hour prior to leaving the ports of call but they really do need to clarify their language. This will be my 3rd NCL cruise.
