  1. I have done a number of US Immigration checks-- always in a large public space on the ship. I have never had give up my passport beforehand. You go to the Immigration located at your scheduled time, they check your passport, hand it back and you go on your way. There is absolutely NO WAY to know how long the process will take. IF they only have ONE agent on board, it will take forever. If they have two or three agents and there are NO hang ups with a passenger or two, then it should go quickly. Given all the unknown variables, personally I would not plan a third party excursion, ship excursion might be a little "iffy" also.
  2. The Bliss did not go to Ketchikan last week because of the weather. Both ships leaving Seattle over the weekend got into some really rough weather. According to the forecast another ugly storm system is supposed to hit the Pacific Northwest by this weekend when both ships return to Seattle.
  3. Check the webcams for both The Encore and The Bliss. The Encore is on her last cruise to Alaska and I think The Bliss has one more.
  4. I am going on my 2nd Transatlantic Crossing soon and booked an Inside Cabin.
  5. It is usually toward the middle of the cruise. Also depends on how many Officers are available on a given evening and how many passengers sign up for the dinner. Remember that an Officer can be anyone from the Spa Manager to Bridge Officer (not necessarily the Captain or Staff Captain). If you sign up for the dinner, please attend. Lots of people sign up and then do not show up (again very disrespectful).
  6. SKY SENIOR OFFICERS as posted by MoCoMom 6 October 2024 Captain: Konstantinos Fafalios Staff Captain: Zeljko Perovic General Manager: Jean-Michel Dhelin Executive Chef: Ariel Timbang Executive Housekeeper: Bissoondath Maharaj
  7. Ordering your dinner from the Cagney's menu could hold up the dinners for others at your table. They try very hard to serve all the dinners at the same time. Coming from Cagney's could throw the serving time off. Very disrespectful.
  8. Hate to tell you this, but there is another hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico (Yes, the Gulf of Mexico) heading for Florida and then out into the Atlantic. Will be an interesting week for cruises. If it makes you feel any better, there is rough weather in Alaska, making the last cruises of the season an adventure.
  9. Would you be kind enough to post a list of the current Officers (Bridge and Hotel)? Thank You Hope you have a wonderful cruise.
  10. (1) Team Trivia--Probably (2) Dining Rooms open for breakfast and lunch on Sea Days (3) Yes--Freestyle Dining-- come and eat when you wish-- no reservations for the MDR's
  11. The last two Christmas cruises I was on served turkey dinners including Green Bean Casserole. Asked the F&B (who was from Bulgaria) about it, said that was what was in his menu book. When I was growing up: Thanksgiving -Turkey, Christmas- Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, New Year's-Ham and Sweet Potatoes
  12. The ship will be decorated for Christmas. On Christmas Eve, the Hotel Management team and other Senior Officers will go Christmas Caroling throughout the ship ending in the lobby with passengers and other crew members is a Christmas Carol Sing-A-Long. There may be a special Christmas program in the theater later in the evening on Christmas Eve. A traditional American Turkey dinner will be served Christmas day in the restaurants. New Year's Eve there will be a number of parties all over the ship. It is a great time. The Freestyle Daily will give you show information each day, you can adjust your dinner reservations as needed. Christmas is a wonderful time to be aboard an NCL ship-- Enjoy
  13. Just paid off the Aqua's Transatlantic. Not looking forward to the long flight from Seattle, Washington to London. Can not wait for the cruise.
  14. Yes, Check your Freestyle Daily for time and place
  15. From all the reports I am reading, according to spokespeople for the Longshoremen's there will be NO affect for the cruise ships.
  16. Where will you be on the 1st of November? I would check that city's website and see what it says. It might give you a listing of some churches you could research for times of services.
  17. Yes, some people bring Halloween costumes. Day of the Dead is much more of a religious holiday. I am assuming that if you are in port of the 1st of November, there should be lots of churches having services. There might even be a parade. I have never seen anything on a ship for the 1st of November. Halloween Yes
  18. I love these dinners. Makes no difference to me what the rank of the Officer hosting the dinner. In 30 plus dinners, I have yet to be disappointed. My very favorite Dinner was hosted by the Ship's Communication's Officer (Radio Officer). That night he was hosted his 1st Officer Dinner. Very kind young man.
  19. Friends of Dorothy: LGBT gatherings Friends of Bill W: AA --..Alcoholic Anonymous
  20. How is Dad doing since returning home? As always, praying that all is well in your world. Very chilly where I live this morning. BIG BIG BIG BIG HUG Love and prayers always
  21. There is NO space for a coffee maker in a Studio Cabin and I do not remember seeing a bathrobe being provided or slippers.
  22. How did you book your cruise? Travel agent, PCC, NCL website? Go back and add your anniversary information to your booking.
  23. Currently The Aqua is scheduled to sail with passengers late March 2025 from Southampton to Boston. Assuming She will have a non-revenue cruise to Miami for Her Dedication.
