Room service

WE ordered room service from the menu the room for dinner one evening and then breakfast on another day. Food came quickly and was hot. I thought it was all better in the dining room or the buffet but it wasn't bad at all!

We used room service mostly for early breakfast before early port arrivals. It was delivered on time every time and hot and quite good.

We ordered dinner once so we could enjoy it,on our balcony. Again, timely and fresh.

Would concur that eating at restaurants was better, but a trade off that we enjoyed.

Hello, going on Viking Homelands this Sunday Sept 4th and was wondering about room service. According to Viking you can order room service 24 hours a day and can order anything from all the restaurants. Just wondering if that is true. Thank you

Things might have changed since June on Viking Sea, but we found the Room Service menu to be disappointing; it is quite limited, especially for dinner--only a few basic entrees and some lighter items. Breakfast was more normal.

Although Room Service said only the Room Service menu could be ordered, we did get special permission from Manfred's restaurant manager to order from Manfredi's when we requested to entertain two other couples accompanying us in our Explorer Suite. And that one-time experience was terrific--attentive service, course by course, and a lovely setup.

Whether or not that could be arranged in other stateroom categories, I don't know, but you can always ask. Room Service is available 24/7, but the breakfast menu card you can put on your door the night before (like a hotel) is limited in hours, and on a big, early excursion day, the Room Service staff had a tough job handling all the requests for the same time.
