Fort lauderdale damage

Was wondering what hotels had damage during hurricane wilma. Staying at Holiday Inn fort lauderdale beach in five weeks.

Right now 80% of the hotels are nonoperational since there is no power.

I am pretty sure in 5 weeks things should be up and running. We stayed at the Amerisuites 17th Ave. Its perfect for cruisers.

Steve there is all sorts of info on the Hotel pre-post forum. There is a person named TrentS who lives in Ft., lauderdale and he is doing a fantastic job of keeping everyone informed of who is open, still closed, etc.

hi all this post is for the mainly british cruisers going on or past cruisers :) .when you fill your immigration form on princess.com if you are not staying in the u.s what do you put in where it says where are you staying post cruise and after you cruise some poeple as said put your home address have done that but a error as arrission any info would be appreciated

DH found this on our Marriott homepage: http://marriott.com/news/detail.mi?marrArticle=107597 . We'll be staying at Courtyard Airport/Cruiseport prior to our 1/28/06 sailing on the CB. Hopefully, everything will be up & running smoothly by that time.

 

Presumably, other hotel chains would have similar updates on their websites if you are looking for information about a specific hotel.

its a bit off the original post but I believe I heard tell that you can put in the ship name and information and try that. Otherwise google a hotel in FLL and put in the info?

According to their website, the Holiday Inn Lauderdale Beach would be closed until November 7. That was as of yesterday, Today I read a post that someone got a message from the hotel manager that said they were closed until the 15th. After that date, I would say you are safe.
