alwalaska Posted September 5, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2016 We only sailed Princess once before (Sapphire in 2006). I did a massage that time, but didn't realize I could only take advantage of the thermal suite BEFORE and not after my treatment, so I wasted that opportunity. I have some OBC this time that I am thinking about using for pampering. Please help me to not make any more rookie mistakes. I considering massage, signing up for a couple of half-days at the sanctuary, or  ?? What are the chances if I go up as soon as I board that I can get the sanctuary for our Panama Canal cruise day? Any and all info and opinions would be appreciated. partybarbie Posted September 5, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2016 The Sanctuary on the Island no longer has a pool. It used to be two decks, but now it's just one. On the day you go through the Panama Canal, the price is $60.00 for the day. The normal price is $40.00 for a full day, or $20.00 for a half day. I don't think I would do it on the Canal day, because you would only get the aft view going through the Canal. IMHO, you will see more if you get up and walk around the ship. If you take a half day in the afternoon, the serenity stewards serve you afternoon tea and snacks. If you want to reserve space, go as soon as you board the ship and know in advance what days you want. B2B passengers get first choice (if they get there before the next cruise starts boarding) then it's first come, first served.

Other than deck 8, where can you stand at the back of this ship to watch as we leave the locks?

As far as I know, deck 8 is the only place now, unless you book the Sanctuary or make friends with some passengers in the new aft balconies. ;)
alwalaska Posted September 10, 2016 Author #5 Share Posted September 10, 2016 Does anyone have any information on the spa on the Island, particular spa treatments that you recommend, the experience in general?
