Linda - I was wondering how long it would take you to get fed up having a dialogue with the complainer. PS - on other threads he also complained he couldn't book his grande suites because they were being held by too many C&A members and he was yammering on about that. He has admitted he wants to raise his posting count on CC. If we ignore him will he go away....

Never been offered a certicate of any kind. We have been offered FREE cruises and discounted cruise fares, but no certificates.

Not sure if it matters on cabin type or not. We generally book GS or higher, both buy drink packages. Last two cruises we were offered free drinks while playing in the Casino and was promised FREE drinks in Casino next two cruises, might rethink the drink package thing, but our next cruise doesn't have any Sea days, so limited Casino time. Leaving Nassau at midnight...

The certificates come to your cabin the morning of your departure. They are based on play. They range from $100 to $500. Most people, I would guess, do not play enough to earn a certificate. The last one stated that a cruise had to be booked within 30 days and taken within a year.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to take advantage of any of the free offers we have received.

Why do you think they are giving away cruises on Emptess ?

The casino is no smoking due to it's lack of proper ventilation -

(Which I was told will eventually be corrected)

And it was always empty.

I am sure this hasn't gone unnoticed.

Actually they have a table game at every barstool. People would take a break, sit at the bar with their drink and CIGARETTE, and continue playing at the bar. It was awesome. :D

I was on MJ too... maybe my interpretation of a bar is different than others. There is a bar area, it does have games at the "bar", but there are many chairs surrounding the "bar", where any type of play is not possible. I still consider these seats to be part of the bar, or lounge...... we say we are going to a bar or pub, but that doesn't mean we sit at the "bar"...

We saw lots sitting in the bar area (I call a bar) and not playing and smoking.

Not all facts....

Why is it complaining if we would like to enjoy the Casino as NON SMOKING. I see lots of SMOKERS complain when I mention it.

I don't care about raising my post count, that was a post that was headed for 3000 and many were hoping it would get there.... until it was killed...

I still think it is a problem to book "MANY" cabins on some of the smaller ships with a limited amount of balconies, and then releasing many before final payment, just to hold a spot. It said nothing about GS. It was mostly the JS, which there is a lot of on MJ. There is only 8 GS on MJ but a bunch of JS. The only cabins with a balcony. It is the small ships 3 day weekend cruises and generally only applies to MJ. There is a huge amount of local cruisers to the port that cherish a weekender. Wasn't a problem when EN was here. If you read my posts, this probably doesn't apply to you, but to just a limited few who are locals to the port. It happens. So, if your not booking 3 day on MJ, it doesn't apply to you.

I guess Linda, with valuable Casino info is a smoker and really hopes the Casino doesn't become a NON SMOKING area. She probably had similar thoughts about the other public areas that banned smoking.

Now back to the post...

Was on Liberty last week. A certificate was delivered to my room the last evening. It offered a wide variety of free cruises (about 40 on various ships), in a balcony, all within the next 3-4 months. We are already booked on the 13 night Rhapsody in November and can't take any of those offered. The certificate is also good for $1000 off any cruise sailing up to 12 months from issue date.

As for the smoke (I am a non-smoker), when I stepped off the elevators on the 4th floor I could smell it, and obviously it got worse the closer I got to the casino. It has always been what I would consider 'semi-bad' in the casino, but I don't remember smelling it so far away last time (I might just be hyper-sensitive to it). That being said, the smoke is nowhere near as bad as a casino like WinStar. After a trip to WinStar I have to leave my clothes in the garage till they go to the cleaners, and immediately take a shower so I can wash the smell out of my hair.

I would probably still want to play the same amount either way, but my wife can't stand smoke so she usually cuts our casino time a lot shorter than I'd prefer.

Thanks for a honest post...

Are you currently a Club Royale Member from the old Club Royale?l I have never received a certificate. I wonder if that is for the ones already members before March.

I really have no idea. I have received emails from them in the past (with small offers). This was my first time receiving a certificate... then again, I bet more last week than I had in the past.

Personally, I enjoy the discounts and free cruise offers so far. Sailing next week and I've been to the bank... so, if we have some time for the Casino, I will be there, for a bit, anyway.

I was told they planned to introduce me to the Casino Mgr shortly after boarding. I will inquire about the certificates.
