RCCL- Cozumel 3 stop snorkel trip or Chankanaab Shore Snorkel & Sea Lion Show?

I'm not a fan of ship sponsored snorkeling excursions. they tend to be crowded and lots of inexperienced snorkelers. But via a private vendor, a 3 stop off shore snorkel in Coz will put you in some of the diving areas and you'll have a great snorkel. Search for threads on this board for private excursions, there are some really good ones, usually associated with diving companies, smaller boats, smaller groups.

 

If you want to snorkel off a beach and do other things, your Chank excursion will include entrance to Chank. There's pretty good shore snorkeling on the northern end of the beach as the iron shore begins to taper off. Plus there's lots of other things going on. If your group has younger children and even teens, Chank might be a better fit.

Not a fan of fins in your face cruise excursion snorkels. Also it's easier and much cheaper to just grab a taxi, go to Chankanaab, enjoy free sea lion show, have some good food, and snorkel from shore there. They have equipment to rent if you need it. Snorkeling is better too.
