We are booked on our first premier cruise in January. What are the "other perks/events" that are just for the premier cruisers? Please advise some of the things to do for premier cruisers other than the slot tournaments.

When you get to your room you will find a schedule of events and your drinks on us cards. That first evening they will have a cocktail party for you where you will meet the casino hosts and other casino employees. Throughout the week they'll deliver various cards to your cabin with event reminders etc. They will provide a gift sometime during the cruise. We've gotten various items like beach towels and drink cups and sometimes cookies and various food items. I would recommend bringing you're copy of the invite because that will list the amount you'll receive from the cashier. Also they will have a special line for check in. Just look for a sign for casino guests. Have fun but also expect the casino to be crowded because it is a premier cruise.

I noticed that certain times of the day/evening the casino would be more crowded. For instance, around the time they have the drawings, before and after dinner times and the shows. You will be able to find a machine. It's just that the more popular ones may be taken, especially during the busy times.

You may find you have to wait for the machine you want to play..that kind of thing..not always though. The first night was the most crowded. Probably because that's when guests get their casino cash. Honestly, it wasn't as hard to get a machine as I expected it would be. Enjoy your cruise and most of all have fun!

It's cash, so you have to go to the window. I wait until a day or two into the cruise because the window is very busy when they first open.

I've never really had problems getting drinks. The servers are very, very busy and some here will complain. But they work their tails off on these sailings. I find a server or two I like, and I always add a tip even though the drinks are covered.

Since I started going on the Premier sailings, I've moved from exclusively slots to almost exclusively Roulette, but, yes, the slots are usually very busy and sometimes it's difficult to find a seat.

I tend to have late dining, and have found that the time during early seating is a little more quiet in there. I figure people are either dining or at the early show before late dinner.

There are times that all the tables aren't open. But, yes, the slots stay pretty busy.

It's also even more smoky in the casino than usual, at least on my Premier sailings. And because it's crowded, it's even worse since many of the smokers walk around with their lit cigs, ignoring the fact that they're supposed to be either at the smoking end of the bar or at a machine or smoking table.

At the end of the month, I'll be on my 4th Premier sailing in just under 2 years. I enjoy them. I'm no high roller, for sure, but the casino cash is nice as are the other perks. Well, I could do without the extra food in the cabin. ;)
