Dawnmcl123 Posted October 3, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2016 Hello, Does anyone know if you are still allowed to get cash at the casino and charge it to your onboard account? Is there a limit? Thanks in advance
goldfada Posted October 3, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2016 Yes, but there is a 3% "convenience fee." Credit card issuers treat it as a purchase, not a cash advance, so the fee may be partially offset by the credit card points or miles. I'm not aware of any limit other than the overall limit imposed by the issuer of the credit card used to check in.

rochelle_s Posted October 3, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 3, 2016 My experience has been just as goldfada has posted. I have never heard or experienced a limit for withdrawals. That being said if you keep your withdrawal to under $1000 then they just go ahead and process. For a withdrawal of over $1000 (in a single transaction) they do contact the front desk (financial department) for approval. This just takes a couple of minutes. Also if you are using the funds for gambling the 3% fee is waived for players Golden level and higher. Alternatively you can also arrange for a line of credit on board. Rochelle I think even $1000 requires a call to the front desk, or at least used to, so I always take out $900 to be faster. It may be the 3% pushing you over the $1K. The daily limit (24 hours) is $2000.
SuiteCruiser Posted October 3, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 3, 2016 is this a way to get a bit of cash out cheaper than ATM? It's cheaper to get cash at the cage if you're looking for $100, it's only $3.00 fee. Once you reach the fee of the ATM, it's cheaper to use the ATM.
