Last minute excursion

I am on a ship now and we had planned on doing a beach day through the boat. However, the port we were stopping at today was cancelled so we want to do a better excursion in Falmouth.

 

The issue is the day in port is tomorrow. Has anyone had any experience booking things once on land in Falmouth? Were the prices about the same as through the cruise line? Trying to decide if I just wait until we get there to book something or if we should go ahead and pay more directly through the cruise line.

We did a zip line and tubing down a river tour. I did a lot of research and found the price through the ship was only $3 more than off. Great tour and a lot of fun.
