Disembark Vista Flight Time

We are trying to decide which flight to book at Fort Lauderdale Airport for return flight once getting off vista. We can take a 12:05pm or 1:30pm fight. We will carry our own luggage off ship. Since vista has so many passengers I'm concerned that disembarking could take a long time. Need opinions from past cruisers.

Either one should be ok. Personally, I would opt for the 1:30 flight. I like to leave extra wiggle room for the unexpected, such as the ship being delayed getting back to port due to weather or some other reason.

For my very first cruise on the Dream, the cruise before us was delayed coming in due the Hurricane Patricia. I'm sure many people with early flights missed them that day. We had FTTF and didn't board until well after 1:00, so I can only imagine what time it was when the last people got off the ship.

We just had to make this same decision with flights back to Baltimore. We're Platinum so we can get off whenever we want (with self debark) which is a perk. I'd personally give yourself the extra time 'just in case'. You won't feel as rushed getting off, finding transportation, or dealing with the airport.
