Panama Canal Partial Transit Cruise

We are thinking of this itinerary on either HAL or Princess. We have cruised this itinerary on HAL previously, but are not hearing good things about the Zuiderdam. We have cruised many cruise lines, from Crystal (favorite) to Carnival (least favorite), but never Princess. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

I've sailed through or done a partial on both HAL (Zuiderdam) and Princess (a variety of ships) and they were all great. Loved the Zuiderdam. Had an aft balcony which was huge and completely shaded.

 

Both HAL and Princess offer excellent Panama Canal cruises.

Princess offers two partials from Fort Lauderdale. The Caribbean Princess will use the new locks and the Coral and the Island use the old locks.

 

Also, the Island has a partial using the old locks from Los Angeles.

 

Which one of these Princess itineraries were you considering?
