bmetz34 Posted October 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2016 I've been browsing a few days and haven't seen these answers so I figured I'd ask :p 1. Is Suess at Sea and specifically the Suess breakfast available on the Elation now? 2. With Your Time Dining, is there a long wait to get a table usually? Do you still sit with others? Do they give you a buzzer when you check in so you can wander around the area? 3. If I can upgrade from our current 6th level to the (7th) Empress, is it worth it? Our current category classification is 6D, Oceanview. Additionally, any details on Camp Ocean and how that works are welcome. I'd like to book us some spa time, but I'm a little hesitant as I can't find consistent times on when the kid's club (for a 3yr old) is open. Should I wait to book something until we get on board to get a better deal? Thanks so much!

I also can't answer your question about cabin selection because we always choose the same inside cabin towards the front of the ship on Deck 2 Riviera on the Fantasy class ships. 1. Yes, the Dr. Suess breakfast is available on the Elation. It was held the last sea day. It's very enjoyable as the characters come around to the tables to meet everyone and have pictures made. Their handlers were "signing" menus for those that were collecting the signatures on the back page while the characters were posing for photos. They also had the Seuss parade on one of the sea days as well as a story time in the main show lounge with the Seuss characters in which the kids sat on the stage with them. 2. We had your time dining and were able to request a table for two near a window each night. These tables are very close together so you could socialize with others if you wanted too. We were asked the first night if we wanted to share a table but declined and we weren't asked that question again the remainder of the cruise. We were automatically given a table for two near the windows. There was only one night that we were given a buzzer and had a slightly longer wait, maybe 15 minutes or so. The other nights we were escorted directly to a table. We are later diners and typically don't go to dinner until after 7:30.

Buckimion Posted October 9, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2016 3. If I can upgrade from our current 6th level to the (7th) Empress, is it worth it? Our current category classification is 6D, Oceanview. ! This may be bunk, but one reviewer I read claimed that the best staff were assigned to deck 6 due to it being the "high rent district" with the grand suites. What I do know is that deck 7 is right below the dining rooms, galley and auditorium so it is closest to the noise from those areas.
cb at sea Posted October 10, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 10, 2016 The spa usually has "specials" on port days...big discounts. Wait until you're ON the ship to decide about spa stuff...overpriced, even with a discount!
Bookmarker Posted October 10, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 10, 2016 Thank you! That's very helpful! You are most welcome. We love cruising out of Jacksonville and try to book a quickie at least once a year...more if we can fit it around my work schedule.
