Disembarking in Miami, flying out of FLL. What to do for 8 hours?

Don't just sit at the airport---did that this past February---never again!

On our cruise in April we disembarked in Miami, and our flight was out of FLL at 7:30 pm. We took a cab to the Savoy Hotel in Miami and bought day passes for $25. We spent a great day there by the pool...ocean is right across the street. We pre-arranged for a shuttle service to pick us up at the Savoy and take us to FLL in time for our flight.

Are there car rental agencies there at the port???

 

 

Not at the POM. However, the major agencies will pick up from the port by shuttle and take you to a nearby location.
