JerseyGirlJen Posted October 20, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2016 Cruising out of Port Canaveral for the first time next December, yes….407 days, but who's counting! Good thing I enjoy the journey as much as the destination :D Anyway, I have never been there before so I wanted to get an idea of the area and where to stay. When I plugged in my dates it's showing that most places are already booked. I'm not going during the holidays, the hotel is for one night on 12/1/2017. Is this normal for that port to book up so early? I didn't think I'd need to book until a few months prior to departure but now I'm rethinking that. Any thoughts from experienced Port Canaveral cruisers would be greatly appreciated. I also thought that maybe a lot of hotels didn't open up their booking windows yet for that far out so maybe that's why they're showing as unavailable? nat9511 Posted October 20, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2016 You are too early for December 2017. Try again after the first of the year.
dd likes to cruise Posted October 20, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2016 Most regular hotels only do reservations about a year ahead. Some maybe only 12 months open at a time so that really makes less than a year. Fancy resorts style might do longer than that but not most.
