Making Crown Grill reservations is the first thing we do after boarding. Even before eating lunch.

We always go to the CG as soon as we get on the ship. We then make our reservation for later in the week and always ask for 7 pm. Have never had a problem.

For those of you who get the time you requested, was it a request 8pm or later?

 

 

 

We always request 7-7:30ish

Sometimes we book 7:30 and when the actual day rolls around we realize that we are hungrier earlier, so we call around 5-5:30 and ask if they can squeeze us in and they always do

I am just curious. We were on the Ruby last week. I called the dine line to make reservations for Crown Grill the first morning of the cruise. They told me they were booked all week. The only openings were after 9 pm. We were so disappointed. About an hour later we were passing by the restaurant and I figured I would go in and beg for mercy. LOL they gave me a 7 pm reservation with no issue! He asked if we wanted other nights as well. It never seemed anywhere near full all week.

 

Why such a disconnect between the dine line and the restaurant??

It is, at times, hard to get someone to even answer the dine line.....

That is the truth.

I tend to do that now after a few long waits on the DINE line.

Was on regal last year. Went to make a reservation first night, Told no availability for the entire cruise and the lady was very nasty turning away other people as well as us. Spoke to our maitre d and the next night he had a reservation for us. When we were dining most of the restaurant was empty. Poor way to run a business.
