griz400 Posted October 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2016 We take our Halloween cruise next Sunday, and was wondering is it all tore up from remodeling process ?? Also, we have fttf and what time has the boarding been starting because of the beautification process ??
Cruise-Crazy Posted October 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2016 I don't think they do any re-ferbing while it's in service.
awursta Posted October 23, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Just got off the Victory on the 10/16 sailing. They were doing construction on the 6th floor aft. We were in room 7419 and it was directly under us. I think they worked 24/7. We would hear hammering and sawing sometimes after 2 in the morning As for boarding we had FTTF also. We boarded at 1pm. Canadian_J Posted October 23, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2016 I don't think they do any re-ferbing while it's in service. I thought that Victory was actively having work done while in service. Mostly cabin refreshing from what I remember.

That's good news! We're in Aft cabin 6465 in January - perhaps there is a chance of having the upgraded bathroom and flatscreen TV. That would suck to have work disturbing sleeping cabins around them in the middle of the night? Ouch.. Edited October 24, 2016 by Toddcan
Toddcan Posted October 24, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 24, 2016 I don't think they do any re-ferbing while it's in service. They do. Replacing TVs with Flat Screen and redoing the bathrooms (fairly major work). Replacing carpets. I thought that Victory was actively having work done while in service. Mostly cabin refreshing from what I remember. I read the same thing. Seems like they have been keeping blocks of cabins offline and redoing them through the cruise. SusieQ954 Posted November 15, 2016 #8 Share Posted November 15, 2016 (edited) Here's some pics of our re-furbed stateroom 6412 on our 11/11 sailing ... gotta say I was very pleasantly surprised ! As a Carnival PVP have to say I'm happy to be able to offer these nicely appointed upgraded cabins (and more to come!) going forward ..... Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app That looks great! We'll be in 6461 on 11/28. I wasn't going to be too picky about the decor/TV, etc., because the price was a heck of a steal...but I did get spoiled after sailing on Disney last year. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app Not all of 6 is done yet - someone in another group just reported that their mom was in 6207 and they started working on it as soon as they got out on 11/21. Someone else confirmed that as of 11/20 the front starboard section of 6 wasn't finished, but John Heald said it would be by the 11/5 sailing. Toddcan Posted November 24, 2016 #21 Share Posted November 24, 2016 Thanks for the pics. We are on 6465(aft balcony) on the Jan 2 sailing. Sounds like it's updated? But then again, the price was crazy low - we're expecting the old CRT TVs and 1950's hairdryers on the wall with pink counters :) Anything better than that is a bonus!
