Visa for tiwan

We are taking a cruise next march with a stop in taipei we hold irish passports,

Do we need a visa before we go or can we get one when we dock in taipei

 

Here is the information from Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs

 

1. Nationals of the following countries are eligible for the visa exemption program, with a duration of stay of up to 90 days: Andorra, Australia (effective from January 1, 2015, to December 31, 2016), Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA, Vatican City State.

We stopped in Taiwan on our Millennium cruise last year. It was an interesting place and we overnighted there as well. Make sure you go to see the interesting rock formations at the north end of the island. Also, the museum in Taipei was wonderful.
