We will be on the Allure during Veterans day and wondered if Royal does anything to honour the Vets?

Good question. I'm following this thread to see the responses. It would be nice if Royal would grant military discounts on every cruise as Princess does.

I haven't seen anything official, but, there are often vet get togethers. Check the bullion board by guest services.

 

FWIW, we'll be on the Independence and we have a cake coming for the Marine Corps birthday.

Years back when Mike S. was a cruise director he would do a very heartfelt narration over the PA system at noon on Veterans Day. Brought tears to the eyes.

 

The HR Director (Mark) on the Liberty is USN (Ret). He does both Veterans Day and Memorial Ceremonies.

 

Those are the only I have observed. May be more out there.

When we have cruised over Veteran's Day, there was a gathering in the Viking Crown Lounge in the morning, with stories, tributes, Bible passages, prayers, and a moment of silence. It was listed in the Cruise Compass and was open to all.
