I will have my kids who are 12 & 16 with us on our next cruise. For Carnival cruises, do I put cash onto one "family" account and we all use it with our cards? Is it by cabin? How does that work?

You can "link" all the S & S cards to the one account.

The account balance is by cabin, you all use it as a total pool. You can make rhe kids cards without charging ability. We take our kids, and they do not have charging privledges.

I think you can set up a daily limit for their cards, if you want to do that. We've never done it, but others on this board may have more info on that part.

When you do your check in you will link them to your account and can check for them to have spending privileges or not. When you board the ship you can go to guest services and put my specific restrictions such as a spending limit. Your kids can add money that they have brought along and add that to thier spending limit as well. You will have to be present when they add money so you can increase thier limit to go with that.
