Disembarkation on the Divina

I wouldn't chance it. Last December we didn't carry our own bags and we didn't get called to get off of the ship until 9:30. Then you have to find your luggage, go through customs, get a cab and prayer for no Miami traffic to the airport. I wouldn't do it much before 12:30pm or 1pm.

I am thinking about booking an 11:00 am flight out of Miami (Great price) - can I make it without doing carry my own bags early walk-off?

Thanks

We have been on the Divina 5x and have been in the street by 7 am every time and at the airport by 730-735.

Is this with you carrying off your own bags? I'm also trying to figure out flight times. We will be in YC if that makes any difference.

There are a lot of variables which makes answering this qustion rather difficult. I sail in YC and you can request your butler to escort you off with your luggage, which makes that part fairly easy. The one thing you cannot control is the line at customs. Sometimes I have had no wait and others I have had a 30 minute wait. Once you clear customs you have to get a taxi or wait for your Uber so that can add some additional time.

This is all going under the assumption the ship arrives on time and is cleared to offload passengers. As a rule I would say any flight after noon is fine but I agree with the other post that if everything goes smoothly you could find yourself at MIA by 8am.

I answered the way I did because the OP stated that they weren't carrying their own bags off the ship and depending on the group they are assigned to for disembarkation, they may not get off the ship until (like us) 9:30am. Finding luggage, going through customs and hailing a cab all take time too so I would not chance it unless I was carrying my luggage off the ship.

I would not take a chance. US customs is very funny organization and no one knows when and how they will start disembarkation . I would walk with my luggage .
