Taxi fare to Houston pier?

Just wondering if anyone out there could tell me the taxi fare from Houston Hobby to the pier? We have a group of five and are wondering if a taxi would be the way to go versus the transfer. Thanks!!

According to a post from ChipandJohn - Arrived at the port in a cab from Hobby after about a twenty-five minute drive. The cab ride with tip and a lot of luggage cost $60 for four of us.

 

Note that there is no transfer from Houston Hobby airport to the pier. The only transfer is from George Bush International (IAH). The taxi fare from there is in the $70-$80 range I believe, without tip.

Not sure if you can get five w/ luggage in a taxi. We have six in my group so I hired a 10 passenger limo. $95 each way (+ tip).

seeing as cabs from iah is expensive, anyone know how much trasfers are? or any bus companies that run shuttles?

Now that I think about it, I had another quote for $90-$95 from another company, so you may want to explore limos through the Houston Hobby links you can find on Google.
