matamanoa Posted October 28, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 28, 2016 My husband and I will be in the South Queensferry port in May of 2017 and was wondering how to get to Edinburgh without using the ship's excursions. We have currently booked a DIY day in Edinburgh, using the ship's transportation to and from the dock. The length of the tour in total is 6 1/2 hrs. We want to see Edinburgh Castle as well as the sights along the Royal Mile and also have time to stop for lunch. Is the ship's timetable enough to see all we want to see and can we do the distance from the dock and back in a more economical way that would allow us more time on our own, should we decide to go that route. Thanks for any help. Barb
Ray66 Posted October 28, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 28, 2016 Hi, You need to be asking this question on the British Isles forum. Lots of information on there about Scotland etc. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=
