Panama Canal Ferry

We will be in Colon for one day on a cruise. Is there any company that offers partial transit thru the canal via ferry. Celebrity does, but it is expensive.

The primary company that operates Canal transits usually is the one that operates the transit tours for the cruise lines, so when a cruise ship is in port there are not any other options. Even if a non ship transit were available it probably not be a good idea anyway. These partial transits do not run on a precise schedule and the chance of you being delayed on a private excursion are high, the distance involved to get to the ferry make a ship's tour the best choice to be assured of a timely return to the ship.
