Booking problem on Divina

I'm trying to book two cabins on the 4/15/17 Divina. I told the customer service rep that I needed a balcony cabin w/ a tub, he said no problem. Booked two cabins, checked the cruise docs, no tub in either cabin. I emailed , got a hard sell to upgrade to Yacht Club. I don't need Yacht Club, we have the Aurea, which is fine...I just want a tub in one cabin. My son is autistic and needs his bath to relax...no, a swim or hot tub doesn't do it. As it stands now the rep is talking to inventory control...I found a suite w/ Aurea, asked about that, got the Yacht Club spiel again. Has anyone else had a hard time getting a booking request? If any of you have someone you work with who listens to you please pass on contact info. TIA.

I can't speak for Aurea, but it is possible that there are no Aurea balcony cabins with tubs. There are balcony cabins with tub in Bela and Fantastica, but they are only for two as the space needed for bath with tub does not leave space for the fold out couch. EM

From what I can see, the only way you are going to get a tub is by getting a suite or higher, as in yacht club. Unfortunately, not all of the suites have balconies, but floor to ceiling windows instead....contact me if you would like more info. Good luck!

This is not true. As I stated above, there are cabins for 2 with tub/shower combo available on decks 8 & 9. they are:

Divina cabins with tub/shower.

8112 8113 8114 8115 8116 8118 8119 8120 8121 8122 8123 8124 8125 8126 8127 8128 8129 8130 8131 8132 8216 8218 8220 8221 8222 8223 8224 8225 8227 8229 8234 8235 8236 8237 8238 8239

Most are Bella, some are Fantastica experience. If a tub is that critical and they don't see the value in Yacht Club, they should check these out. EM

I only looked at the aurea cabins and higher....if the OP is OK with downgrading to those categories then he should be able to get the a tub. I guess the OP is the only one who knows exactly what he/she wants and they need to convey that to the agent.

Tia,

Forget the cruise docs. They are incorrect as are many things MSC. All Aurea Suites have tub/shower combinations, however, only six of them have balconies. If you are speaking of the Aurea Balconies (B3) (not suites), then only Cabin 12003 has the tub.

Would suggest you maybe look at the cabin list Essiesmom gave. Think that originally came from Pete or me, but those are the regular balconies with tubs.

Good luck!

Hi,

Thank-you to all who replied. I would have been fine w/o the Aurea experience, but ended up booking two adjoining suites, 9010 and I think 9008...so two tubs and one balcony. Cheaper than the YC option. In the future I will be booking balconies, so using your suggestions. Looking forward to this cruise. We've done DCL for many years, and had the Allure booked for spring break, but the Dreamwork's character parades weren't doing it for me, or the constant hard sell I read about on CC. Hoping we love this so we can do some of the Med or longer cruises.

Enjoy your cruise.....looks like you got a corner suite? We'll be going on the Divina in May and have 11010, can't wait!
