Cell coverage?

Just wondering if I purchase the international roaming package through my cell phone carrier if there's even good coverage at sea? My carrier is Bell Mobility (Canada) It's only $5-10/day through my carrier...thinking it might be better than the wifi on the ship.

Thanks for any insight!

Originalgeek is correct. It is only good for ports. You will be charged the standard $1.99/minute for voice cell service and much more for data. Buy the wi-fi package and connect with that. If you do not, then make sure you turn off "Mobile Data" on your phone before you leave port.

When you are in port the ship's cell service is turned off and you can use your phone and data using the International Plan.

Take care,

Mike

You'd be able to use it in port, but onboard you would use the very expensive iffy quality cell service and the charge for data (I know now you can purchase different packages for social media/e-mail/streaming) is extremely high.
