VE Guarantee. Anyone else have one 12/4-12/14?

i booked a room an deck 4--not knowing it was above the World Theater. Also, the prices had gone down, so today I called and i have a VE guarantee. So we won't know what room we're in until 10 days out. We sail 12/4-14.

 

Anyone else have a guarantee? Are you concerned? The reviews of this ship are not encouraging.

I assume you are on the new Koningsdam, as I think that is the only one with a "World Theater".

 

Personally, I do not like guarantees as you never know where you will end up (could be great, could be poor). I would rather pay a bit more and KNOW where my cabin will be. Is this an option for you (check with your TA)? You might be pleasantly surprised as to how little it could cost to get a known cabin. Think of it this way - what is it worth to you to avoid a cabin with problems for 10 days??

We had a VD guarantee and where assigned a VA midships.

We have a VE guarantee, too. Couldnt see paying another $1000 to pick the room. So we'll hope for the best!

looked online today and found we DID get our cabin assignment. I had been waiting for an email.

Deck 7 for us.
