We are a family of 6 the children will be 14,11,8 & 5. We are unsure what to do in the Cayman Islands and have found a boat tour for 600 dollars. The tour would be for 4hrs on a 35ft striker cruiser we woukd stop at the stingray sandbar then snorkel along the reef then stop at starfish beach and last we would stop at beach bar/restaurant were we can purchase food and drink.

Anyone done this or would you recommend it?

Thanks

we did a private with Ebanks Watersports. had 7 adults and a 3 year old. It was a day pretty similar to what you have planned but a bit smaller boat, maybe 28' and cost maybe $400 or so. It was money well spent, especially at Stingray City where we could spend all the time we wanted vs the big boats where they stood in line to touch a ray. Price included ground transportation from near the pier and we controlled how much time we spent at each spot.

For $600, I would not expect to have to "purchase" anything! That's a bundle of money!

Of course, if you are THAT interested in seeing the island from the water, maybe it's worth it, to you. It think that's an extreme price!

We did the Stingray City Outrage Tour and its a smaller boat but only $400 for up to 6 people. For an extra $100, you can have a 6 hour tour and also go tubing and time for lunch at Kaibo, which we did:) . The kids LOVED it We went to Stingray City, Starfish beach, snorkeling, tubing and so much fun.

Really one of the best tours we've ever done.
