Before I discovered this I had called Celebrity numerous times to verify pricing and they told me it would be the same to pre-book it or to add it onboard. Now I check and it is actually cheaper? Can anyone explain this? Thanks.

Normally the price is the same if you buy before the cruise or on the ship.

 

In the past few months there have been some discounts offered for some sailing for a very limited time. There were discounts offered for the fall Transatlantic cruises for purchasing pre-cruise. We have 5 cruises booked and none of them are covered by this short time discount offer.
