FishersFrogs Posted November 15, 2016 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2016 We've narrowed down our top excursions based on feedback from cruisecritic (Thank you). We're getting ready to book at helicopter dog sled tour in Juneau and are specifically looking at the extended landing from Coastal. They mention viewing crevasses and I'm curious if others have feedback on safety? We're taking our three girls ages 10, 10, 12. They are well behaved, but adventurous. I don't want to ruin my time there worried they are "too close" to the edge. Also - if you have vendor recommendations let me know. Only leaning toward Coastal because of the extended option. Open to others. Thanks so much!
Budget Queen Posted November 15, 2016 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2016 Can they follow directions? Listen and comply? That is essential. There are only 2 other vendors in Juneau who do glacier dog sledding, tours are similar. All are well established well run companies.
TheCalicoCat Posted November 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted November 15, 2016 I don't want to ruin my time there worried they are "too close" to the edge. Thanks so much! I think that may have more to do with your personality/comfort level than anything else. (This is the tour companies livelihood, it is not a sound business decision to endanger customers...) If you are already asking...
