Hair Straightener?

Am I allowed to bring my hair straightener on board the QM2? What about a travel sized clothes steamer?

Straighteners are fine, I have no idea about a steamer since I find hanging things in the bathroom does the job.

I had no problem with a steamer in 2014 and 2015.

My advice - take a set of 'backup' straighteners if you are able. When my (almost new) straighteners stopped working on the first formal night of our cruise, our next port stop was spent trying to buy a new pair. The ship do sell them in the salon, but had sold out. We were lucky - we managed to find some ashore, but we wasted valuable time in Oslo looking for new ones (they are not stocked in department stores in Norway). Never again will I start a cruise with just one set ::D
