Do UK residents need a Canadian eTA for an Alaskan cruise?

Hello. If your cruise starts in Canada all travellers require an ETA with the exception of Permanent Resident Card Holders, US Citizens, and those Citizens from those countries that require a Temporary Resident VISA (Tourist Visa or Family Visa). If your cruise starts in the US and you enter Canada by land or sea you do not need an ETA, just a passport.

No - you don't.

You only need a Canadian ETA if arriving by air

I did an Alaskan cruise (albeit with Celebrity not NCL) in May/June this year after the new laws came into force

You absolutely do not need a Canadian ETA if you are doing a round trip from Seattle taking in a Canadian port

End of!!!
