I agree; I don't see anything that has me jumping for joy. Usually ES works well for us because we do need to plan vacations far away, due to our jobs. And, when 4 are traveling, the reduced deposits make it easy to reserve your good rate and pay it off as we see fit.

 

But, I have a new wrench in my vacation planning - but a great type of wrench - a son now in college, with a delightful girlfriend. If this keeps up, I will be somehow booking for 5 at Spring break of 2018!

Fine print says the complete deposit is non-refundable so, um, no thanks.:(

Never understood how lower deposit made a cruise a deal. I understand it helps if you are tight cash now but if it's same price overall there's no savings.

EXACTLY!!!!!!! Certainly not a deal, it sometimes seems like when they do reduced deposits the actual fare is increased.

I checked my April 2018 sailing and it's $100 higher than what I booked at for my cabin category. Lol

I'm able to view rates of our booked cruises via Fare Viewer, but I have been trying all day to book another for January 2018 via "Plan > Book a Cruise" & the cruise choices won't load.
