Anytime with Reservations question

So we have anytime dining. I was thinking of making a few reservations during the week. My question is if I make the reservations for the MDR and then we decide to do speciality dining, or get caught up in something and not make it are we like cancelled for the week? lol

 

Anyone have experience? Thanks

No one is going to chase you down, yell at you, or cancel your remaining reservations. If you can call to cancel, do so as a courtesy. If you are opting for a specialty restaurant, you can ask the person who takes your reservation to let the mdr know.

Agreed.... call them to cancel if you must. But you must also try the steakhouse. [emoji6]

Oh I always plan to cancel if I can. I was more thinking about the "I'm enjoying my premium drink package and trivia and completely forget" day. (There's always one....

We always go with Select dining and rarely reserve in advance. There are usually 2 lines at the hostess desk. One for reservations and one without. Unless you are a large group or need to eat at a specific time there is really no need to book in advance. Most we have ever waited has been about 15 mins and that was because we requested a table for 2 next to a window.

Whether there will be a wait or not depends upon what time you choose. If you choose the most popular time, then there may be a longer wait. You will always be better served if you can make a reservation ahead of time. You can do it before sailing or by calling the reservation line on board.

Agree. We are late eaters (Brits) and never try to get a table at the most popular times. As I said, large groups or specific dining times are a different matter.
