B to B Tampa Customs Clearance

We have never done a B2B in Tampa, but in other ports there is no customs clearance between two sailings. You keep your cabin, or your room attendant moves you and your belongings to a new room, if you so chose. But at about eleven the whole ship's system is shut down and restarted. That requires that you disembark. Might as well do some touring since it may take a couple of hours for you to be readmitted to the ship. You and whatever is on you go through metal detectors, but you suitcases stay in the cabin.

Not in Tampa but in NOLA and Los Angeles (San Pedro) we've only cleared immigration (passport) on the first cruise. Done customs at the end of the second.

Between cruises you can either tour or be the first onboard. There will be paperwork a night or so beforehand telling you what to do.
