Driving into New Orleans

We're driving into New Orleans Christmas Eve morning to cruise on the Triumph. Saints game starts at noon. I can come in East or West on 10. It's about the same distance for us. Is one way easier than the other to get to terminal during game day traffic? Any suggestions that you could recommend would be helpful. Thanks

Check in time is 10-1030 parking at the port. Was hoping some locals could give me an alternate route to avoid some of the traffic. We maybe better off arriving in Nola after 1200

I would come in from the West. Traffic will backed up at the Superdome exit but once you get past that you will be OK. Stay in the middle or left lane until you get past that exit.

Traffic from the East is usually a lot more congested.

There are no secret routes. I have tried them all.

The game has been moved to a 3:25pm kickoff so you are good.
