relaxatsea Posted December 18, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2016 We will be going on our first Back to Back cruises on MSC Divina in January. This is also our first time on the Divina. The first cruise is E. Caribbean leaving and returning to Miami. The second cruise is W. Caribbean leaving and returning to Miami. Unfortunately, I could not get the same cabin on both cruises, so we will also be changing cabins. Is anyone familiar with MSC's procedures in between the two cruises for people doing a B2B? Do we have to get off the ship? Do we have to take all of our clothes with us if we do? Will MSC give us instructions as to what to do? Is there a special lunch for us that day? Of course, I plan to go to Guest Services as soon as we board and ask these same questions, but if any of you have done it, it would be great to know ahead of time. Thanks in advance! riclop Posted December 18, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2016 Msc will give you instructions on when to bring your paper work for your second leg to guest services. You will meet in a lounge and they will escort you off the ship thru immigration and back on the ship ahead of everyone else. Make sure you read your daily program and it will tell you by when you have to take your paper work for your second leg down to guest services. You don't have to take your clothes off the ship just talk to your room steward and they will help you make the move, hope you are on the same floor because that will make it easier. Enjoy your B2B. baz48 Posted December 18, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 18, 2016 We did a B2B on Divina in November. We didn't have to change cabins, so I can't speak directly to that situation on MSC. However, we had to change cabins once with Princess and they just asked us to pack up anything not hanging in the closet. They took everything to the new cabin so it was not too difficult. We didn't have to pack that carefully since it wasn't going to be for long. I'm sure MSC will tell you what to do as there are always people in your situation so they have a system. On MSC, we did have to get off the ship in Miami and go through Customs/Immigration but it didn't take long and we were able to get back on the ship pretty quickly - maybe a couple of hours at most. If you wanted, you might be able to do a Miami tour in between so there would be no down time. You also might check again with them to see if they don't have a cabin you could use on both cruises - perhaps cancellations or something have happened.
