Maggiebobo Posted December 24, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 24, 2016 Hello, we are cruising out of Jacksonville on the Elation ship. Can anyone tell me about the disembark time? How long does it take to get off the ship (if you're in a hurry) or how late can you stay on the ship if you have a late flight?
sammee Posted December 25, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 25, 2016 Hello, we are cruising out of Jacksonville on the Elation ship. Can anyone tell me about the disembark time? How long does it take to get off the ship (if you're in a hurry) or how late can you stay on the ship if you have a late flight? We were on her the week after Thanksgiving. We had FTTF and were in our car by 815am for the early end.
howard6933 Posted December 25, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 25, 2016 Sometimes when you are ready to disembark, they have you place your luggage outside your cabin the night before and they take it away. However, if you want to get off early you can keep your luggage in the cabin and go down early to the door next morning. There is always a line so you should get down there early. +

bar10der421 Posted January 15, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 15, 2017 We were on her the week after Thanksgiving. We had FTTF and were in our car by 815am for the early end. Did you carry your own luggage or put it out the night before. We are three 60 something ladies and carrying our own luggage off of the ship would not work. We hope to make an 11:20 flight. bar10der421 Posted February 4, 2017 #8 Share Posted February 4, 2017 We put our luggage out the night before (had Zone 1 tags), met in the piano bar and were escorted off the ship at 8:50. We grabbed a town car ($35 plus tip for the three of us) and off we went. Had no problem making our 11:20 flight. It was the most organized disembarkation I have ever experienced. Gamecock_Cruiser Posted February 4, 2017 #9 Share Posted February 4, 2017 I've cruised twice on of Jacksonville, but it was on the fascination. Jacksonville is a little unique because the ship can only go under the bridge at low tide. The first cruise, disembarkation started about 7am. The second cruise, we didn't dock until almost 8am due to the tide and disembarkation started after 8am. So just keep that in mind.
ColonelMustard Posted February 8, 2017 #10 Share Posted February 8, 2017 We returned on the Elation two days ago, Feb 6th. Deck 5, we were scheduled for carry-off between 8:15-8:45. But the debarkation fell behind, we weren't able to disembark until 9:30, and it took 45min to get through the customs checkpoint. We left the lot just before 10:30. If you can pay to get off earlier, or can feign a disability you'll save some time.
