binbin854 Posted December 27, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2016 We are booked in the encore next year 10 days Barcelona to Rome called Spanish isles and Italy. I see very little on cc with feedback on seabourn shore excursions. Any feedback appreciated or direction to where I may find it. Thanks. ab21au Posted December 27, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 27, 2016 We are booked on the July sailing for 20 days, of which the first 10 days is the same cruise as yours so I will give reports and photos during the cruise in July. Haven't looked at what we will do in each port yet.
secoma4 Posted December 27, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2016 Seabourn excursions are generally good - if more expensive than if you booked with a local operator. What we try to avoid are those which include a lunch. This usually means you end up spending 1.5 hours having a meal that is not as good as what you can get on the ship. But sometimes it's something that you couldn't otherwise experience. In most cases you have the option of booking a local operator or just picking up a taxi. But, in the main, Seabourn's offering is reasonable with groups that are not too large. We have found you don't need to book until you are on board, which means you have a chance to talk to the destination specialists who are helpful and can point you further n the right direction if you want to try something different to what they are offering. They usually have "lectures" on the main destinations a few days ahead of the actual excursion, so you can get an idea of what is being offered.
